Need some help here. Don't know what Deb hit but the words are so small and hardly readable that i need to find a way to fix this. I can't really tell if i am even getting the words right on this post. Help!!! Dan

you can stop this thread. I don't know what pinged the firefox but it made the forum letters so small i wasn't hardly able to see them and only at this site! i had to uninstall and reinstall the firefox as it had to be corrupted. She needs top stay away from facemail and maybe tweeter too!!! I have been having so many issues with this computer that i am thinking of not letting her have access to both those sites..if i can figure out how to do it!!

Dan, there is a way in FireFox to change that. Under the "View" button there is a button for Zoom and in it you can Zoom In or Zoom Out. She may have done some Zooming.

Could be tech but she has been going to those other sites and i have heard bad things of worms and other nasty bugs on those sites!! Funny that it only did it here on this site!! Figures i would have my favorite site screwed up!! Anyway i have it fixed again for now till she does it again! Dan

Trust me, if it had been something nasty it would have effected your complete computer, not just this site.

I ended up reformatting the drive and ended up doing it three times!!! I still have a slow down with programs and When you first start up the compaq dos shows for a few seconds and then blank screen for about 1-2 minutes before the windows actually starts booting up. Guess this thing is getting old and or playing rip van winkle or something. Thought about putting in Windows 7 in but if this thing has a corrupt drive or one that is going bad then it wouldn't help. Another thing starting to go bad is the cd/dvd drive. I think i am going to have to get another computer... Am likely to do that then rebuilding this one. Not really wrong with this thing if Deb quits tweeter and facebook... Something has had to ping this thing..Computers just don't start acting like sh*t with out something causing it.

Dan, I use Twitter and also use Facebook on my laptop AND on my desktop. I've NEVER had any issues with either of them causing problems. I really don't think it's either of those two sites.

Something had to ping this pos but it started when she started to use those forums. Maybe just a coincidence but if not them then what??
Has to be some kind of bug or worm as it has corrupted the D: drive as well as C: drive. I have lost all the cd/dvd burner and with the start game too this thing is pretty worthless. Am taking it down the next time we go to town on the 24th. Maybe the geeks at best buy can figure out what is going on....

That sounds like the disk drive is going bad to me.
